"I want to go home"

Hope is the thing with feathers, That perches in the soul,

And sings without the words,
And never stops, at all.
-Emily Dickinson

Dogs are the things with fur,
That steal into your soul,
They hope where hope has vanished,
And never stop wishing at all.
-Lori

For those of you who don't know about the video, it was produced in partnership with a local Oklahoma City production company,

Producers Playhouse, the Ardmore Oklahoma Animal Shelter, and Southern Oklahoma Animal Resources (S.O.A.R.) to heighten the awareness of the horrors of puppy mills, the desperate need for legislation to implement laws to establish care and housing standards to relieve the suffering for so many breeding animals across the U.S. and to ensure healthy, strong puppies only are available to buyers. The video highlights the need for responsible pet ownership, the need to spay and neuter pets, and to make rescue dogs and puppies (and kitties too) from  local rescue or shelter organizations the first choice when adopting.  This is a behind the scenes look at the overwhelming numbers of animals that are taken in by shelters and rescue groups every day, and the sad truth that there are just so many, millions are euthanized every year.  The video also highlights the truth of the puppy mill industry.  My deepest thanks to these folks for their generosity, time and support in working with me to help heighten public awareness of the truth behind the scenes.

This video is available for upload to any shelter, canine business or rescue organization website at no cost as a public awareness mission.  Please let me know if there is an interest.  We also hope it will increase adoptions for our shelters and rescue groups.  The resources page can also be customized to suit your organization and the community in which you live.
